Hi. My name is Lynda Laird Burgess. I am the owner of Lyndley Designs, and the creator of the eclectic assortment of machine embroidery designs on this site.
My friend Nancy Caravaggio of Triangle Sewing Centre, thinks I’m “ meticulous” which is her sweet way of saying “pain in the neck perfectionist”. Others might agree, including my very patient husband, and equally patient webmaster. So I thought , why not embrace the fact and incorporate it into my business slogan. After all, for my customers, it’s a good thing to be so picky about quality! When testing a design, it won’t be offered for sale until I’m completely satisfied it’s as perfect as it’s going to get.
I took Artista digitizing lessons through several online courses and dealer lessons for a year. Then, I was privileged to observe an amazing digitizer in a 2 day conference on non specific software techniques.... third generation digitizer Trevor Conquerwood of Stitchitize. That was it, I was hooked. I studied the advanced course at Trevor’s Embroidery Design Learning Studio and have since developed some of my own techniques.
I live in the countryside of south western Ontario, Canada with my husband of 29 years, Alan, an accomplished musician, businessman and site photographer. We enjoy sharing our property with a wide variety of wildlife including golden eagles, great horned owls, wild turkeys, coyotes and deer. |
